Kristen joined the Chelepis team in 2015 as a Commercial Lease Administrator and from there moved into the role of Audit Program Manager, responsible for overseeing the internal audit operation controls, processes, and practices. Kristen works directly with the Chelepis directors and account managers executing all audit and reporting functions for our clients. She coordinates work flow for the audit staff by monitoring and processing all audit related requests, tasks, assignments and projects. Kristen manages internal and external document systems to ensure efficient retrieval and routing of all pertinent legal, financial and audit-related documents for both new and existing audit assignments. Kristen tracks the details of the Chelepis audit program for our clients, monitoring current statuses, applicable deadlines, auditor and client requests, required training, quality assurance for audit and negotiation presentation material, and facilitating new client intake and contract renewal processes.

 

Prior to Chelepis, Kristen worked in a small law office focusing on personal injury cases, criminal defense, divorce, child custody, and mediation services. As a Paralegal, Kristen drafted contracts, court documents and correspondence, assisted in settlement negotiations and deposition preparation, and conducted legal research. Serving as Second Chair, Kristen aided the lead attorney, maintained exhibits and witness files, and prepared notes for closing arguments Kristen During law school, as a Rule 13-certified student attorney, Kristen provided legal representation for clients through the Child and Family Services Clinic. Kristen prepared representation agreements, pleadings, briefs, proposed judgements, and presented evidence in court hearings.

 

In her free time, Kristen enjoys reading, writing, cooking, and gardening and spending time with her family. She also enjoys spending time outdoors and attending sporting events. Go Royals!
