About

Janet joined Chelepis in 1997 as a Senior Auditor and is an account manager of three long-term clients. She manages client relationships, reviews lease language, plans and executes lease audits of offices, warehouses and manufacturing facilities throughout the United States and Canada. To date, she has returned in excess of $26.7 million in negotiated savings to clients through Chelepis' Occupancy Cost Control Program. Her projects include supervising lease administration activities during client business acquisitions and migration projects; overseeing lease abstracting projects for client business acquisitions; and analysis of client acquisition properties to determine future action.

Before joining Chelepis, Janet worked as a financial analyst for a real estate appraisal firm and learned the industry serving as a commercial property management and real estate development and construction accountant. She worked on projects including the appeal of real estate tax assessments; designing bank loan workout programs; cost/benefit analyses of outsourcing building services (janitorial, landscaping, security and trash removal); rent projections based on retail sales;  recordkeeping for Resolution Trust Corporation contracts; and pricing of residential subdivision lots. She wrote articles analyzing the regional residential trends for an annual brochure distributed by her employer.

When not working, Janet volunteers weekly with the Overland Park Arboretum and Botanical Gardens, and enjoys gardening, needlework, traveling and bowling with friends.
